Hi,
nachdem Seidenberg die Saison schon mit Beinbruch beendet hat, hat es nun auch Marco Sturm ereilt.
Vergangene Nacht hat er sich im ersten Drittel gegen die Avs das Bein gebrochen.

Sturm sustains broken leg

DENVER (AP) - San Jose Sharks forward Marco Sturm broke his left leg in the first period against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night and will miss the remainder of the season.

Sturm was chasing the puck behind the Colorado net when Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote rode him into the boards feet first at 11:26 of the first. Sturm lay motionless for several minutes before being taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Sturm is San Jose's second-leading scorer with 21 goals and 20 assists. The Sharks opened the night with a six-point lead over Dallas for first place in the Pacific Division.

Der spielt die Saison seines Lebens mit seinen Sharks, und dann das !
Wie es in dem Artikel steht ist es eine wirklich schwere Verletzung, und man kann dem Marco nur wünschen, dass alles zu 100% verheilt und er keine Folgeschäden davonträgt, die seine sportliche Laufbahn beieinträchtigen.

BTW ist dieser Foote sowieso ne Ratte....

"Sturm Suffers Ankle Injury

On Friday night, San Jose forward Marco Sturm left the game against the Colorado Avalanche in the first period with an ankle injury, not a broken leg as was widely reported.

Sturm was taken to a Denver area hospital where he was to spend the night before returning to San Jose tomorrow.

"Obviously it didn't look very good," said Head Coach Ron Wilson. "But, the positive thing is it didn't appear there were any fractures. Since their guy (Colorado's Medical Officer) can't seem to give us an answer and there's no point in speculating, we will wait until Dr. Ting gets to see him in a day or two and we'll probably call someone up tomorrow."

Sturm is currently second on the Sharks in scoring with 41 points (21 goals, 20 assists)."

Weiss jemand was eine ankle injury ist ? Injury ist klar, aber ankle ? Ich dachte immer das heisst Winkel, aber das macht keinen Sinn....
